John K. Kenneth J. Erickson was named Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, of Heartland in 1999. Mr. Erickson has been employed by Dubuque Bank and Trust Company since 1975, and was appointed Vice President, Commercial Loans in 1985, Senior Vice President, Lending in 1989 and Executive Vice President in 2000. He was named Vice Chairman of Citizens Finance Co. in 2004. Prior to 2004, Mr. Erickson was Senior Vice President at Citizens Finance Co.
John J. Berg joined Heartland in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales. In 2008, he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales. Berg’s background includes over 30 years of retail marketing and banking experience. Previous to joining Heartland, Berg served as Vice President and Marketing Director of First Federal Capital Bank in LaCrosse, WI. His prior experience includes marketing management positions with commercial banks and savings banks in West Des Moines, IA, St. Louis, MO, Waterloo, IA and Lansing, MI.
As the head of the WMG, Bruce is responsible for all aspects of WMG services throughout the Heartland organization. He is a member of Heartland's strategic council and senior management. Bruce joined DB&T in 1983, is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Law and holds a degree in Accounting. He is a member of the Dubuque County Bar Association and the Tri-State Estate Planning Council.
Frank E. Walter joined Heartland in March of 2009. He is responsible for managing all of Heartland Financial's commercial sales development activities, including training and mentoring commercial bankers, business development officers and cash management sales personnel. In that effort, he will lead new loan and deposit acquisition programs in commercial lending, working closely with bank presidents across the Heartland footprint. 
Douglas J. Horstmann has served as Senior Vice President of Heartland since 1999. He was also appointed as Vice Chairman and director of First Community Bank in 2007. Mr. Horstmann has been employed by Dubuque Bank and Trust Company since 1980, was appointed Vice President, Commercial Loans in 1985, Senior Vice President, Lending in 1989, Executive Vice President, Lending in 2000 and Director, President and Chief Executive Officer in 2004. Prior to joining Dubuque Bank and Trust Company, Mr. Horstmann was an examiner for the Iowa Division of Banking.
Michael J. Coyle joined Heartland in March of 2009. He was an attorney with the Dubuque law firm of Fuerste, Carew, Coyle, Juergens & Sudmeier, P.C. for 38 years and a senior partner for 35 years. He specializes in litigation with extensive experience in corporate and contract law. 
Janet Quick began her employment with Heartland Financial USA, Inc. in 1994 as internal auditor, bringing with her 4 years of banking experience accompanied by 3 years of public accounting experience. Janet is currently Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, at Heartland Financial USA, Inc., an appointment she received in 2008. 
Jacquie Manternach began her employment with Dubuque Bank and Trust in 1978. Jacquie is currently Senior Vice President, Finance at Heartland Financial USA, Inc. and Dubuque Bank and Trust. 
Lois Pearce began employment with Dubuque Bank and Trust in May, 1988 as executive secretary to Lynn B. Fuller and Lynn S. Fuller. In January, 1990 she was elected Corporate Secretary of Dubuque Bank and Trust and Heartland Financial USA, Inc. She served in this capacity until January, 1999, when she was named Vice President and Corporate Secretary at both DB&T and Heartland. In 1997 she also assumed the duties of Transfer Agent for Heartland Financial USA, Inc. For two years immediately prior to joining DB&T, she was Office Manager at the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce. Before resuming her career in the work force in 1986, she was a homemaker raising five children and performed volunteer service for numerous community organizations. Lois is a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries and the Securities Transfer Association. She is a 1958 graduate of the University of Dubuque, having received her B.S. Degree in Business Administration.
Stephanie Ihbe joined Heartland in 2009 as Senior Vice President/Manager of Treasury Management and Payments. She is responsible for Heartland's Treasury Management and payment services with a focus on growing business deposits and non-credit revenue through effective sales, service and product management. Ihbe works from Minnesota Bank & Trust, one of Heartland's 10 member banks, located in Edina, Minn. She has 28 years of banking experience and previously was a senior vice president at Bremer Bank. She's a Certified Treasury Professional and holds a bachelor's degree in economics and sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ihbe is actively involved with several payment associations such as the Minnesota Treasury Management Association, the Upper Midwest ACH Association, has been a guest speaker at the National Payments Conference, and is a member of the audit committee for the National Council of Family Relations, a national non-profit headquartered in St. Paul, Minn.

Thomas L. Flynn - Vice Chairman of the Board of Heartland; Director (2000-present) and Vice Chairman of the Board (2006-present) of Dubuque Bank and Trust; Director of Citizens Finance; President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Flynn Ready-Mix Concrete Co.
James F. Conlan - Director of Dubuque Bank and Trust; Director of Citizens Finance; Partner (1996-Present) and Member of Executive Committee (2005-present) of Sidley Austin LLP; Vice Chairman (2000-2006) and Co-Chairman (2006-present) of the Firm-wide Corporate Reorganization Practice of Sidley Austin LLP.
John W. Cox - Director of Galena State Bank; Attorney at Law; Partner of Cox & Ward P.C. (1998-2007); Sole Practitioner of Cox Law Offices (2007-present); Vice President of External Affairs and General Counsel (2007-present) for Jo-Carroll Energy; In-House Counsel (2008-present) for the City of Galena, Illinois.
Mr. White is a partner at Aveus, a management consulting firm in St. Paul, Minnesota. He started this position in 2013. Prior to joining Aveus, Mr. White was an independent consultant for 6 years. He also has over nine years of banking experience with U.S. Bancorp. Mr .White was President of the mortgage division for 3 years, Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for 2 years, Senior Vice President of Marketing Support and Product Management, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He began his career working for the OCC as an examiner and was also involved with the regulatory supervision of problem banks in his role as the Assistant to the Regional Director of Special Projects. Mr. White brings considerable expertise in financial services, including merger and acquisition activity, to our Board, as well as community knowledge and perspective of the Twin Cities, one of our newer geographic markets.
