Joined Valley Bank during the organizational phase in 1995 as Chief Lending Officer. Named President and Chief Executive Officer of Valley Bank in June 1996.

She next served as Director of Finance and Budget for Roanoke College, a private liberal arts college located in Salem, Virginia. Prior to joining Valley Bank, Ms. Snyder was Vice President of Finance for The Egg Factory, LLC, a privately held company headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia where she was responsible for all financial operations of the company and its seven subsidiaries.
Ms. Snyder serves on the VBA CFO Committee and is a member of the AICPA and VSCPA.
Ms. Snyder is a 1991 magna cum laude graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and a 2012 graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
